JP III: Male Alpha Velociraptor Bust
The Male Alpha Velociraptor, also known as the “Blood Knight,” is the dominant male Velociraptor seen in Jurassic Park III, alongside the Alpha Female and the rest of the pack. Unlike the lowland Velociraptors featured in the previous films, the highland Velociraptors of Jurassic Park III displayed distinctive vocalizations, intelligence, and sophisticated hunting behavior.
Their hunting strategies were remarkably complex. In one memorable scene, a male stalks the rescue team searching for Eric Kirby through the InGen laboratory. Demonstrating the raptor’s cunning and intelligence, it places its head inside an empty incubation tank, disguising itself among the dinosaur specimens and waiting for an unsuspecting member of the rescue team to approach.
The pack also demonstrated a strong social hierarchy, with the other Velociraptors showing considerable deference to their leader. When one male threatened to attack the rescue team, the Alpha immediately intervened with a commanding roar, forcing the subordinate to stand down.
Continuing to expand its collection for fans and collectors, Elite Creature Collectibles is proud to present the life-size Male Alpha Velociraptor “Blood Knight” Bust from Jurassic Park III, created in collaboration with ECC key artist Oskar Ankarudd. Ankarudd faithfully recreated the original model at full scale, and the paint master was also meticulously hand-painted by Ankarudd himself.
